I have done home euthanasia twice now with our beloved pets, and it is done in home. first a check in visit to make sure it's the right time. then the final visit. In home. Our vet then took our kitties to the animal funeral home where we picked them up later.


I suspect something went wrong.... that is my only guess. Sounds like very unclear communication and honestly I don't see the point in that process. He could have given you a pill if he had planned it that way all along.


Not wanting to upset you... but that is my experience - it was peaceful, first shot was to calm, second was ... well you know. At home with their family.
