When I'm home I tend to leave the TV on -- news channels -- unless I'm reading or playing music or sleeping, so I leave it on for Ruger when I go out. Is this good or bad? Does it make any difference? Would dogs rather have quiet or conversation in the background? I'd hate to turn the TV off and come home with a chewed up couch and rug, although currently he is very good when I'm not home.
I think I remember reading that a lot of people leave the TV or radio on for the dog when they go out, although I think the dog knows nobody is home.
