You might be onto something.

He often hurries when he's using his pee pads inside so nobody sees him and he will wait to do #2 until late at night and everyone is in bed. I think it's because he's sort of mixed up about going potty in the house since he's went both outside and on pee pads.

Maybe I should try to move his pee pad into the guest bedroom where it's quiet so he can take his time if he needs it. Even outside, he sometimes is in too much of a hurry!! He poops and then bolts~~he runs to the end of his leash to get away from it like it's bad.

I have no idea how to make him less nervous about going potty. I praise him when I see him use his potty pads and he's never been yelled at for pottying in the house...even when he's went on the floor. He'll stand there and watch me carpet clean!! LOL!!
