My Ellie started jumping up on couches and chairs and everything else she could find to jump on when she was 2 months old and at only 2 lbs. She scared me so much. thankfully she has never been hurt jumping up or off anything, but I have to be extremely careful because she can jump on or over most anything there is. I have even put up four and a half feet baby gates and she sails right over them. Just be careful and watch your little man and he should be okay.
