One thought, the carriers with leg holes look interesting, however make sure they don't restrict circulation in the legs. Honestly, they don't look very comfortable, as I think dogs like to curl up more, or move around and change positions. I can see it's value in isolating movement for a pup with broken leg though.

What made me think of this is when my daughter had granddaughter in one baby carrier, her legs turned blue from poor circulation.
