Thank you for doing this search by the way. |
All YTCA breeder members are highly encouraged to CHIC their breeding dog(s). For the Yorkshire Terrier that includes a CERF examination in order to qualify for a CHIC number. Furthermore CERF's are recommended to be done at least before every breeding and or yearly. There are a number of tests for the YT I believe it is only three that the YTCA requires you to have done, in order to qualify for a CHIC number.
This will not affect as far as I am aware the "validity of the contract", but MORE to code of ethic violations at the club level.
I may need to amend my Health Concerns for Yorkies to include this condition; right now I am not sure if I have dry eye on the list, I do know I have cataracts on the list.
But as I have written over and over again here and other places, part of the research on the breeder is to go to these health registries and see what health tests have been done, before even thinking about purchasing a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!
