Thank you everyone for your worries and support. I did take her to the vet first thing in the morning. Ran blood tests, and xrays. Her white blood cell count was at 82'000 but lucky and amazingly her kidney and liver were surprisingly in acceptable levels. Diagnoses was pyometra just as ms Elle May has assumed... Thank you so much once again. My baby Popi was so weak so the the doctor put him on IV and proceeded with the surgery few hours afterwards... After around 7 hours later I received a call from the hospital that the surgery went well and she is in stable condition.... Thank god... I requested she stay on doctors watch and on IV until she regains more of her strength just to be on the safe side.. I will be going tomorrow to check up on her and will bring her home the day after tomorrow... My learning experience from this will never be forgotten and I would like to thank you all for your worries... truly a great community... I am a first time owner of a very small yorkie weighing normally 4-5 pounds but at the vet she weighed in at 3.4.. and never knew of such issues yorkies come across such as hypoglycemia as well.. Thanks to everyone here I have learned so much.. |
