I am wondering how a great breeder would ever let a pup go that early? Was there a reason you received the pup so young? Sorry I am not trying to be mean or anything but after all the rescues of kittens and now my pup Gizmo who was almost dead when I rescued him, I have to ask myself, what good breeder would ever let the pups go this young ?
I agree that 6 weeks is way too young. This was my first experience buying a Yorkie. When I was younger we bred Chow Chows and by 6 weeks we wanted them gone and so did their Mom! LOL The second pup I purchased (not pictured) I got from a different lady and I asked her to keep her a full 12 weeks for behavior, etc, but she is MEAN, so those weeks didn't do much for her, LOL! I went ahead and did the purchase with Misty again because my first experience was a good one and at least at 8 weeks I don't have to bottle feed like I did with the first one. Some people say it's fine to wean at 8 weeks, I am not the Dog Whisperer, so I don't know.
