It's true that they really are so fragile. I have to say that when I was looking for a second yorkie I wanted one that was a little smaller than my original (Teddy 7 pounds) so that when I have to carry them both (which is often) it would be less weight, so I was aiming for 5 pounds….well sweet Lola is 3 pounds and will maybe max out at 3.5, and I have to say, next time I get a yorkie (which will hopefully not be for a long long time as I want these two to live forever……I will shoot for 7-9 pounds, they are a little sturdier.
