I think all Yorkies I have met, even in older age, were spunky in some ways.
Of course mine was a ball of energy as a puppy, but even at 5 years old she is constantly keeping an eye on everything... the backyard, all the animals in the house, all the humans, the street out front. Thats just a typical terrier.
