I've just never understood that. Of taking down the outside lights the day after. There's so much work involved in decorating, why not enjoy it a bit longer?
We've always put stuff up the day after Thanksgiving and kept it up until the weekend after New Years, but this is my first Christmas with my boyfriend & his daughter in our own house, free to decorate as we want. I've already got all of our interior decorations and I'm fighting myself not to put it up this weekend. I was planning on next weekend, but we'll see if I make it that far!
