This is Dixie and Flips second litter on 10/31/13. She had 5 babies and we lost one at birth due to the placenta delivering before the pup. All pups were born over 4 oz except the deceased and a little boy named Chip. His birth weight was 2.2 oz. Once he got warmed all up he didn't let the bigger ones get in his weigh of nursing, or so I thought. We ended up at the vet on Friday to be taught how to tube feed because he dropped to 1.8 oz. Tube feeding a few times Friday and he was back at nursing on Dixie. He held his weight all day yesterday at 1.85. This morning he is down to 1.75, I didn't tube feed him every few hours because when I went in to feed he was nursing. Any and all helpful suggestions are extremely wanted. I have been working very hard on the litter and lost several hours of sleep to see they all thrive. This morning he is still trying to nurse.
