So my dog is 7 months and I'm getting tired of trying to potty train her. For the 4 and a half months I got her I've been trying to train her. In my room I always have a clean pee pad on the spot I notice she goes pee. And she does go pee on it(most of the time). When I take her outside she always does her business and I always reward her. She knows that I reward her when she goes pee outside and she knows that I spank her and scowl at her when she does it on the carpet. I have a gate where I can put on my bedroom door so she won't get out. Since she's older I don't keep her much in the crate but instead made my room into her room. Well one thing she does which really ticks me off is if I'm leaving my room even to just go to the bathroom, and put the gate so she won't get out, she pee's right next to the door. She does it all the time!! And the bad part is she knows she did wrong because right when I'm back in my room she jumps on my bed and acts depressed. I don't know what to do anymore. With her it seems like she moves one step forward and two steps back. I will never get rid of her but I have to have her train. I'm about to start nurse school and I'm moving to my grandma's house and I'm taking her with me. My grandma told me she has to be trained if I want to keep her inside. I don't want my dog to be an outdoor dog she's a Yorkie they'll steal her. Can anyone please help me. I'm just so stressed out about this situation.
