Default Satin Balls for putting weight on young yorkie.

Hello everyone,

I am searching for advise on help to gain weight. My son adopted a yorkie puppy (1 yr.) when she was 3 months old. I'm taking care of her for a few months because of a new job he's taken in another state.

She was very fragile and under weight from the start. Tall and lanky, very thin hair. She's probably 11-12" tall and weighs 2.5-3 lbs. Her legs are no bigger then my little finger?

While just running across the room....she broke her front leg. After surgery she had weekly vet visits and X-rays. $6000.00 later....she broke it again within 2 weeks in the same place.....the choice to either put her to sleep or amputate her leg.

She's so active, and I worry about her breaking the other one. Any ideas how to put weight on her and build bone density or muscle mass? He's been free feeding her ( which I don't do) Royal Canin and boiled chicken breast as well as giving Nutri-cal.

I found a website about "Satin Balls" for gaining weight and would like any input on this recipe.

Thanks for listening...
