When its not too hot or cold, Jaeger and I will walk up to 3 miles. I always bring water, and he only ever 'has had enough' is if it's a bit warm, or if the grass is really tall. He doesnt 'lay down' like some dogs do, but I keep an eye on him, and if his breathing changes or he starts to pant a little, I ask if he wants picked up-he'll come over and stare at me if he wants to be carried for a bit, and he'll get wiggly when he wants back down.
