As for reverse sneeze, I have pups who do that but they don't "freak out" as you are describing. Matter of fact, I have never had a pup freak out from CT really. They often are too sick.
I suggest you video one of these episodes for your vet to see. Then perhaps you can find out for sure what is going on. | I never in thought about watching there ribs but that I think would be one good way you might could tell.
