I like the ideas that others had about maybe going part-time to start or popping home at lunch to check in on him.

Another idea is that if you or your hubby are tech savvy you could set up a web cam pointed at the inside area that he has access too and then you could check on him while you are at work and make sure that he is fine and get your own little fix until you can go home. That way you can work and know your baby is doing just fine.
