Is your friend a breeder or just a pet owner who would keep the offspring?

Based on the Biewer history, this is not true. Two Yorkshire Terriors who both carried the recessive color gene were bred, and they had puppies with the black/blue, white and tan/gold colors. There were also black/blue and tan/gold puppies in the litters. Mr. Biewer's dogs who carried the recessive color gene came from the same kennel that the Parti yorkie came from.
