It's normal to be a little stressed when first getting a pup. You should ask Deb Sillers how many times I was asking her questions the first couple of weeks when I got Cookie LOL. I definitely wouldn't take her on walks or out to the store until after her last round of puppy shots though. I have never had a very small pup (Cook was 3 lbs, 7 oz when I got her at 14 weeks) so I can't offer too much advice on tinies other than not letting them jump off furniture period.
