He is overwhelmed with his choices!!! Get some Royal Canin puppy kibble....it is a softer kibble...still feels hard to us but they can eat it fine, and it is geared towards enticing puppies to eat dog food! Stop playing "short order cook" for your baby! He is a year old and he is eating enough to keep him alive....you are stressing yourself to death! What I am going to say is going to throw this place into a tailspin! Put a measured amount of Royal Canin Puppy Started kibble down...count out say 30 pieces of kibble....put that down for him and leave it....you can free feed him this....since you are already having a horrible time, let him go to his food whenever he wants....at the end of the day, count the pieces of kibble and see if he has eaten any of it.....give him some nitri cal at bedtime, and leave the dog food accessable to him at all times. I can promise you, he will go to that bowl and eat! You can give him NutriCal in the morning just to be sure his sugar is up....leave the kibble down....keep counting the pieces to see for certain if he is eating and how much he is eating....he is so confused and upset now with everything new that has transpired over the last two weeks.... He is not a puppy so you have some wiggle room with the meals....a puppy can NOT go extended periods of time without eating...a year old dog has more stability in his system and you can relax a little.....but stop with the "Endless Buffet" system!!! He is running the kitchen, has YOU jumping thru hoops and killing himself laughing!
