Have you tried Royal Canin kibble? It is very palatable to dogs and when some wont eat anything else, they will eat that happily. You may need to start off with TINY pieces of boiled chicken mixed up in the kibble, to get him redirected....just a little chicken, cut into finely diced pieces so he cant mull around in the bowl and pick the chicken out...sometimes I honestly believe we totally confuse our pets by jumping and switching around all kinds of dog food, the first time the dog turns his nose up at a specific brand. This "Dog Food Dance" will drive both you and your pet absolutely nuts! What was the pup on when you got him? Go back to that! Let the pup get settled and comfortable in your home, his new home, and then, when all that baby has known and loved up until that time, has been used to keep him feeling secure and safe in your home, THEN, if you feel compelled to fix something that isnt broke and start switching dog food on him, then you can start that disruption in his life! |
