There are no laws regulating labeling of pet foods. It is considered a "self regulated" industry. They can leave things out or even put things on the label that are not there and no one is paying much attention.
If you go on most pet food websites you find very little info about how the food is produced or where their ingredients are sourced from. Just a lot of hype about how great they are. |
