Correct me if I'm wrong...because I'm just going off of theory...and I don't know much about breeding and how genetics work in dogs. But this situation reminds me of genetics from ancestors showing up in later descendants. For example great great great great British grandmother's blue eyes showing up in great great great great black grandson....skipping generations but then showing up randomly. Is that impossible in the dog world? Knowing that the Yorkshire Terrier is a result of many ancient breeds mixed together, is it not possible for some pups to come out with certain traits from ancestors?.....red legs, facial structure, no/ little hair?
