  This is not really true. Peanut started to butt scoot. His were not infected or swollen. I took him in and the Vet told me there were full. At the time he was getting them done at the groomer. However she wasn't expressing correctly so they would fill up faster. 
Groomer's don't go all the way in, they express them from the outside. This does not get all the fluid out and they will fill up faster. 
Always, ALWAYS get their anal's expressed at the Vet.
