If you're planning on changing food, please get ones with "no grain". Regarding flea comb. Even if he has thin hair and it's easy to find the fleas, I'd still like to recommend you use a flea comb. Only b/c it can help catch flea poop off the body.

I hope he gets better soon and you find a good vet!
