I would try that with Lui every time he does it. Maybe even add in "no!". Keep trying to redirect his attention.
By the way, being unneutered will also contribute to thinness. Breeders often have to increase their stud's food intake when a girl in heat is around. |
Unneutered males do not eat, esp when there's a female in heat...all they can think about...is u know what! Breeders have a hard time keeping them @ a healthy weight bc they simply do not eat. Inexperienced 'breeders' will find find their stud dog starving themselves!
Excellent tips Kristin gave you. If Lui likes fetching ball, you might want to redirect his bad behavior by squeaking the ball or giving him his fav chew or something. Some dogs respond well to a simple stern 'No', but if that doesn't work, try tethering him to you & you can keep him from following your guys around. You'll have your hands full for a week GL!
