It didn't do well with my pup, and he didn't care for eating it. But seemed to enjoy it more than any other brands we offered, which included Blue Buffalo, Solid Gold, Wellness, and a few others.

I'd simply recommend Merrick if you're trying to take a more natural approach to foods that he enjoy out of the other brands. And many members recommend Royal Canin for picky eaters that take on scientific method of creating the perfect food for your pup.

But the company and there history is very important. Would you want to feed your dog a food where the company didn't care about your dog and just saw they as another dollar sign?
