He got the results. When I started this thread he was going into his first brain surgery, the resulrs of which said it was a benign stage 2 tumor.
Now after his second surgery the results are that it is now a high grade stage 3 anaplastic astrocytoma. The good news is that this cancer does not spread to other parts of the body. The bad news is that they gave him 18 months survival rate, with treatment. He is starting chemo on a drug called Temodar. I am terrified for him amd his wife, they are very young, not even 30, havent had kids yet...they're taking the appeoach that no one is allowed to say the "C" word in the house and that they are going to kick its butt. They dont want to scare our family and friends but we are all terrified. Please yall, pray for Charles and Allison, and their families. They are very close family friends of mine. |
