Maybe you should think about getting a larger yorkie. I have a 9 pounder or so, and she loves it outside. Even in the cold. I do have to say that they are an energetic breed. She is 2.5 yrs old and still wants to play alot. Luckily I have 2 children to play with her too. She is just now calming down and letting me hold and pet her for longer periods of time.
