 thoughts on Glee
anyone watch the show, I do because the music is phenomenal, but am never sure about the message. Just watched the season opener and one of the biggest segments on the show was one of the male High School Kids rallying support from his classmates and friends to join in him a big tribute song to his boyfriend who graduated the year before, all so he could propose, the kids father and teacher were at the proposal along with all the classmates. The gay part did not bother me much, but the thought of everyone so excited about a kid in high school proposing marriage to some one has me wondering why they would want to glamorize it. I find while I love the music I often have a lot of trouble with the story line. I think if I had kids and they watched it I would make sure to watch it with them so they did not get the wrong messages from the show. This week they did old Beetles music and I must say I really enjoyed that part of it. |
