I noticed right away.... I thought it was a really really GREAT way to end things. It's like he finally did right by the person who he had wronged the most really. Even though he totally went there with the intention of killing him, once he saw his condition and that he was being forced to cook, I think his humanity came back, and he let his anger slide for a bit.... and in some sick weird way, it's a wacky love story. Until they end, they did care about each other.
