Here's my dilemma. I am making a special surprise for a little one who's mommy has been battling cancer. The mommy manages a shoe store so I had Aymee do some beautiful embroidery of a shoe on a pilliow. When I was speaking to "mommy" about colour combinations she liked for sweaters and stuff she mentioned she liked Navy and Grey. Well, I couldn't find Navy but did find a nice Royal Blue pin whale corduroy. Today I went to take her some hair bows and she asked why I had so many blue ones and asked if they were for boy dogs. (They acutally have butterflies and dragonflies on them so ...no). Anyway she kind of indicate that she didn't like blue that much for girls.
So now I need to make sure that I can add to this coat with "girly" colours so she likes it. I was going to do a different colour collar and maybe trim around the bottom but am now wondering if I should just turn this piece into a dress of some kind and what colours would look best to make her happy?
I know this is long but before I start working with this beautiful piece thought I would ask for opinions from all you who dress their "girly girls".
