Shellie, It sounds as though You might be blaming yourself for whatever this accident was. You need to rethink your rehoming Cassie as I think it would be much too stressful for her & not in her best interest at all as without your caring endless Love for her, she would most likely not have made it through this. I don't know the details on what happened to Muffin but whatever it was, was an accident & most likely could have happened to any one of us here. We are all grieving with you & are here for you when you need us, so PLEASE reconsider rehoming your sweet Cassie. Remember Cassie is also grieving the loss of Muffin & you both need eachother now more then ever.I think it would devastate her to be without you too at this time, she needs YOU not a stranger .
