Congratulations on your new puppy! I agree with microchipping and having it done when he is neutered.
Grooming -- I also agree with waiting until he has had all of his puppy shots. Ask for groomer recommendations from other people with small dogs.
I do all of my doggies' grooming at home. My boys are in full coat, but I trimmed Max's hair until he was about 6 months old.
The frequency of grooming depends on the dog and the style you choose. Some Yorkies grow hair very fast and others are slower. There are also daily and weekly things to keep up like eyes, nails, and so on.
