Alfie's skin has darkened to almost black (well very dark grey, looks dirty but he is clean) and lightened up again. Both testicles were black at one stage but now only half of one is black.
He attends a dermatologist regularly for his allergies and I have asked about it but she isn't worried at all and says that a dog's skin will pigment at various times.
I think it is probably also related to their changing coat pigments, just my opinion though I have no expertise.

However, I have also read that some darkened skin pigmentation can be indicative of some serious conditions so I would definitely be discussing any changes with my vet just to be sure.
