My old Yorkie, Megan, was spayed at the age of 12, she had a heart condition, which is why she wasn't spayed before. When she got spayed it was because she had a bladder infection so bad, the vet had to operate. Megan never got fat, and she stayed as loving as she had always been, the same with the Brittanies I have had in the past. I never noticed any change in her behavior afterwards. I don't think she will change, but all dogs are different. Good luck, and I wish you the best outcome with her.
