The way the dogs eat these chews is by licking it, get it somewhat soft & then grind it off w/their teeth. There's minimal risk of teeth breakage, but it can happen. They work through the small pcs pretty fast but it still lasts a lot longer than bullies. I took it away when the pcs got too small, about 2-3". So I always got the med or large pcs for them & it lasted 4ever.
They do say that you can nuke the smaller pcs in the microwave to make cheese puffs, but I never tried it...heard that it stinks up the whole house! |
Hmm.. I think I bought small size before. Maybe that was my problem. As for the cheese puffs... Can you imagine what would happen if the furball got a hold of it and accidently dropped in the ac/heat vent? LOL
