I'm going to do it. I'm going to officially start looking for a dog.
I would like a young dog. Female puppy preferred, but honestly, it doesn't really matter. I want to go the rescue/shelter route and I've been watching Petfinder for a long time and not been able to find what I'm looking for. I refuse to go to a BYB. I've asked my friend who runs a rescue to keep an eye out for me. I'm going to contact a couple breeders I've found on YTCA's website but the fees breeders usually charge really turn me off. Not really sure what else to do. I wouldn't turn down a private rehome either. That's basically how Bayleigh came to me, although she was surrendered to the shelter technically.
