So what does it mean to be 'unbenched'? I, too, have Yorkies that are pet quality but enjoy learning about the show world. In fact, I'm at a Yorkie Specialty in Olive Branch, MS (just south of Memphis) right now. I watched the Yorkie-only Agility trials this morning. These little guys and girls worked their hearts out and seemed to love every minute of it. Well... at least until about ll:00 when it turned pretty hot, LOL! One little guy doing the 4" jump course just looked at his Mama after three jumps and seemed to say, "ya'll go ahead now... if you want that teeter climbed, you better do it yourself!"
I'm going to the Conformation part tomorrow. Lots of little Yorkies running around in the hallways in curlers. Have met a lot of really great folks. I'd recommend visiting a Specialty for anyone thinking of showing a dog or just wanting to participate in the fun.
