Taste of the wild was involved in a recall this year, you may want to look into that. If you chose to feed kibble just find a corn and grain free one.
Before going completely raw I fed Teegy Orijen, the company also makes Acana. They are Canadian so I'm not sure if you can get them. Go, Now and Blue Buffalo are others I've seen good things about.
There is a natural way of getting rid of worms and keeping beasties at bay. Diatomaceous earth.
A teaspoon mixed into their food once a day for a couple of weeks kills internal parasites, you may want to wet their food to do that and it can be used on the outside on the skin to dry out those beastly fleas. You can also sprinkle it on your floors and furniture if you think the buggers are in your house.
You get a gold star from me for taking care of these wee doggies, thanks for being an excellent person |
Thank you. I will try the Blue Buffalo. I know the place I buy supplies from sales that. Is the Diatomaceous earth ok for my kids to be around? My youngest is 2 oldest is 16. If it is ok for them I will def try it and use it one the house as well just to make sure they don't get everywhere. Comfortis is a bit pricey since I have to get it for 4 dogs now. That may be a price effective solution.
