New Yorkie Mom **** WARNING**** *This is Long* First I would like to say thank you for this board lol. I have just recently became a yorkie mom. I have wanted one forever just never had a chance to get one. Within the past 36 hours I have become the mom to 3 of them. ( Yikes right lol). I have searched for over a year for a yorkie. I have read up on them and done my research. I could never find the extra 600 or so to purchase one for a reputable breeder, having 4 kids and all. I came across a lady who was selling 2 yorkies for 100 bucks (great deal I thought). Well when I get to her house she is a back yard breeder. She has several different breeds of dogs and has them in little bitty pens probably about 4 foot by 4 foot and about 3 foot tall. All outside and they each have about 4 or 5 dogs in them each. Very sad to me. I know the issues I am facing with these guys but I could not leave them. She brought the first female out and she pretty much lunged in my arms licking me (her name is mimi) she is almost 1 year old. Well they went to get the male out and another broke out of the same kennel he was in (A completly silver one). The male is Jackson and the silver one is Tilly. She handed me the male and stood there holding Tilly talking to me. She told me that she had bred the male to Tilly and had pups from her in June and that mimi had never come into heat. I was heartbroken by what I was hearing and seeing. I handed her the money and commented how pretty Tilly was. Her husband quickly said ou can have her for 25 more. My mother in law told them we didn't have 25 more so they said ok well you can have her for free if you will take her. So we agreed and brought all three home. ( all are sleeping on my bed as I type). I had never seen a completly silver yorkie before and wanted to do research (brought me here) as far as I can tell it is an illness. I have yet to find any pictures of a full grown one. She has shorter hair than a yorkie but looks just like one with a short haircut she is gorgeous. Well on the way home in the back of my car Jackson tied with mimi (Uggggggggggggg). They all have appointments to be fixed this week. NO MORE babies for any of them. They will be happy healthy PETS. My reason for coming here is to ask you guys if you have ever seen a completly silver/blue yorkie? And if I can figre out how to post pics maybe you guys can tell me if she is in fact a purebreed? Not that it matters just would like to know. My vet has never seen one before. Maybe she is mixed with something? I don't know her features look to me like she is full yorkie. |
