Omg Help! Poop Stuck @ Baby's Backside. :-(

I came home and let my babies out. Not long after they came in, I heard some yelping. Thought maybe a couple of them were playing rough, but then notice my boy was off to himself and heard him crying/yelping in pain. I was worried he ate something that got caught in his mouth, then I thought exactly what happened...

He was plugged up BAD and it's my fault for not keeping him properly groomed as I had meant to trim his backside in the next couple of days. He went outside and the crying continued. I was livid at myself as well as very scared for my baby boy.(6yrs.)

Long story short I managed to scissor cut some hairs and discovered most likely this started yesterday because part of the outermost poop was dry! It looked like some feces escaped out the bottom of the orifice... more hershey/liquid in nature. I cleared around with scissors, carefully of course and he ran off twice to do his job and notice some leakage out the bottom, but the main part is still plugged up.

Good news is that it relieved enough pressure he ran around happy and started rolling in the grass! Bad news is that there is this plug of poop and he's now sensitive to touch and won't let me work any more. There's not enough lighting and no one to hold him in place. If I had better lighting and another hand, I could do this.

So, is a bath my only alternative? I hate the idea of all the bath water getting poopish, but if it will work, I'll do it.

Any ideas on how to get the rest cleaned? Please, no scolding as I've already been down on myself enough over this.
