I think he will love a companion. He'll get used to having another dog in the house and before you know it they will be playing and driving you crazy. As far as a puppy or an adult dog, puppies can be a bit overbearing for an older dog. It would be nice if you could find a rescue Yorkie or another small dog. Good luck and keep us posted.
