Several years ago I had a sheltie that ended up having to have one of her eyes removed. The vet said that the eye could have been saved if only I had reacted quicker and instead of just watching it, had taken her in at the first sign of a problem. Guilt from something like that never goes away. I'm glad you have opted for the vet!
