I also want to mention that it does not take long for a coat to become a tangled mess. PLEASE do try to find his owner; they're tips in the YT library (if someone doesn't post them I'll do it when I get home.)

So true, please search for the owner. You know if he is housetrained, someone has loved and cared for him. One of our dogs shy's away also and always has. We've had her since she was a 12 week old puppy so are 100% sure she has never been abused.
