John, my heart aches for you. I just read your post on the loss of your little Elvis. Most of us on Yorkie Talk have been in your shoes at some time. The grief feels unbearable and you don't know how you can go on.....,but you do. Each day it gets a tiny bit easier.
I too lost my little best friend. She died on the operating room table during a routine procedure. Like you, I didn't know how I could make it through picking up her ashes. When I did pick up her ashes, a sense of peace came over me in the car and I knew then I could get through this.
You and Elvis are in my thoughts. May you find peace during this difficult time.
