Thank you for your helpful info.

I cannot bring her home tomorrow, as I am leaving to go to that town early tomorrow AM, and don't think it would be right for the dog to bring her home.
I would not have had time to purchase food, crate, toys, etc. In fact,
I am thinking of meeting this lady at the Fred Meyer parking lot tomorrow, just go get a feel for the dog. Then, next week I would want to see where she has lived for the three years of her life. My week is really busy, and I want to be able to spend two full weeks with it, before I get back into my regular
schedule. I am retired, but I have dental appts., birthday parties, etc., coming up this week.

I called a vet and his nurse said she could not believe a breeder did not remove its dewclaws. But, she said don't let this discourage you. She said it is very costly, and it usually is done when the pup is three days old.

I would not have it done at this late stage, as I think it would be too painful for the dog, and ME. She has been spayed.

If you can add to this, please do. I have not had a dog in 20 years,
but am dead set on a lovely Yorkie.

Thanks.

Do you think she may have underlying health problems because the lady said she wouldn't pay vet bills? Just wondering. Sounds like Zoe/Sadie needs you very much! I think I would ask the "breeder" for a $100 discount so she can have her teeth cleaned.

Make SURE the vet uses isoflourine gas to anesthetize her! Some of the other ones can be deadly on Yorkies!

Also, I would ask my vet about the dew claws, but would probably leave them alone since she is grown. You don't wnt to traumatize her any more than the idiot who is selling her!
