Default my 11 year old yorkie had four upper teeth pulled and

now her entire face has changed. She appears to have an underbite and it is really upsetting to see. I know that her other health issues are far more important but I do not understand why when the dentist pulled the four upper middle teeth (that was literally sizes of pinheads) her entire face would change. I was told her upper lip is now indented and causing it to look like her bottom teeth are sticking out.

I cant really understand how such tiny little top teeth can cause such a void. When I look at her gums they look the same. Again, I know this isn't life threatening but she just does not even look like the same dog.

When I asked my vet why this would happen all he said was get her an implant in a sarcastic way. If it truly is available and wouldn't bother her in any way and didn't cost a fortune, I would. At times her tongue sticks out in the middle as well. That somehow doesn't bother us as much and it is only for seconds very rarely.

Any thoughts other than get a grip and be thankful she isn't experiencing any more serious health issues, at the moment.. I would really appreciate it. We always thought of her as being so beautiful.. not that we would love her less, but her entire face has changed and it is just sad. I know that beauty is certainly not the important issue, so please do not bash me but we just miss her gorgeous "smile".

Thank you so much and hope that some on the forum understand our feelings and that we do not love her any less... she is still our princess!!!
