When I first got my girl at twelve weeks she did the same thing. I was so afraid she would get hurt. I finally let her be free. Lucky you have hardwood floors. I have carpet. I didn't want to crate her because she came from a puppy mill. I felt she's been lo locked up enough. Well, with many accidents, and lots of carpet scrubbing she's been a free bird since then. I heard I could have turned the playpen upside down, but never thought of it. Oh well that's life! Good luck k!
