The word teacup doesn't bother me -- what it represents bothers me.

If people were just calling smaller Yorkies teacups in a cutesy way, it wouldn't bother me AT ALL. In fact, I think it's a cute term for the smaller then usual size Yorkies (meaning any Yorkie smaller then the standard). But as Chachi said, unscrupulous breeders use the term "teacup" as a marketing technique to charge more money for their dogs.
